It's always to early for christmas

 

Lots of people start putting up decorations in early November. Whatever makes her happy Is my vote. Happy wife happy life!

 

LOL! I had to make a run this evening after dark. Within two miles of my home, I counted 5 houses with XMAS outside lights on. I think this is a way to come out of some depressing stressful times!
I hope everyone goes hog-wild IMHO!

My wife and I go back and forth on all of this. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because it actually is what we say holidays should be. Good food, good company, good conversation, and a reflection on why we should be thankful with no catch. Personally, I don’t like the feeling of skipping past it or lumping it into the Christmas season. We’ve managed to turn every other holiday into a consumer based celebration. With that said, to each their own and happy holidays!

Yes, she loves it. As armytc mentioned, it is good to be over these stressed times.

 

I can't think of anything much more boring than early Christmas decorations. And Thanksgiving is still too early.

 

Wifey pulls out the Christmas tree today because she's in the spirit.

It took the wife 4days to put out all her xmas stuff the 1st week in Nov. It took me 10min to hang different colored bells in the front yard's apple trees.

 

I hung the raingutter lights early, just to beat the weather. Lights go on after Thanksgiving. Last year's lights..

 

wife had the tree up in october.

 

As a widower I haven’t put up a regular Christmas tree since 2008. My wife absolutely loved Christmas and would have left the tree and lights up all year if I had let her.

 

She's done that for 3 years now, redecorating it for each month. It is better than having to do another renovation, so I fight it just enough to keep it from growing.

 

Snow storm coming, I wish I'd put up lights earlier...

 

If my wife even put up a tree it would be on the 24th and come down the 26th.

 

Do it early. Why not be festive? What I hate is the people that leave them up way too long into the new year.
