I own many .22s but not any .22 magnum handguns so I am considering purchasing the Charter Arms 72324 Pathfinder Revolver Single/Double 22 Winchester Magnum. Anyone have any experience with those? Thoughts? Good and Bad? Would buy again?
Thank you in advance for any replies.

Sometimes we just buy because it is what we do. Other times we have a purpose. If purpose driven to buy a .22 WMR handgun it would, for me, be for small game hunting or similar size critter control. Having a longer barrel and single action for the best possible accuracy would seem to dictate a Ruger Convertible. If I had to keep only one hand gun, that would be the one I would choose.

Charter Arms makes dependible guns. My 77 year old wife carries one of their .38 snubs, my truck gun is a Bulldog .44 Special.
My farm carry is a Pathfinder 22LR with 2" barrel.
I have seriously considered buying a 4" Pathfinder in 22WMR, but finding it hard to justify when I have 5 WMR capable handguns already - 2 Single Sixes and 3 Heritage Rough Riders.

Go for it, get a Pathfinder 22WMR, I think you will be happy with it.

Well, I did. And boy, was I disappointed. The gun is defective. The ejector rod is useless and it is impossible to extract the spent shells. I had to bang them out with a cleaning rod. A local gunsmith polished the cylinder slots and it made no difference. Now trying to get Charter Arms to honor the warranty. I wish I had paid a little more and bought a Ruger or a Smith.

I own 6 charter arms revolvers 1 22LR/ 1 22WMR/ 1 22 LR with a six inch barrel a 38 a 44 all these listed are generation ones. i also have a 2 inch 32 H&R magnum it is the newer variety built on aluminum frame it's OK no problems what soever. I prefered the old ones made either in Bridgeport or Stafford. The ones made in shelton are a bit rougher but to give Charter credit they have been innovative in the design of some center fires and they make the only no moon clip cylinders for 9MM/40MM and 45ACP. my only regret is that they have decided to only make the small frame 22/22WMR
in Aluminum frames. The pathfinder can be had as a two cylinder model 22LR and 22WMR. If you get a 22 LR the factory will install a 22WMR cylinder for a price. Note: I am not associated with them just a customer.
