now you're bringing back memories of when I first started doing 10/22 mods with these quick and easy charging handle mods..I used to do that to the Magnum handles once in awhile, after I swapped out the standard LR handle for the bigger Magnum charging handle that came as an $8 assembly

of course nowadays Ruger doesn't even sell the Magnum charging handle assemblies any longer...too bad, it was a pretty good mod for the money in it's day

I thought it was better than hanging an empty 9mm case on the handle like many did...though maybe not quite as cool as the skulls, that some member around here did (Hi, Chaser)

I went with a larger CH with a slot, it was a bit too big imo, then to a turned cyl with grooves, been that way for a good while now. But just recently I had an ejecting empty get caught by the returning CH at the case base and slammed the sharp case mouth into the stock wood just forward of the ejection port! Almost tore out a chip. Certainly was a distraction for my failed next shot.....
Idk if the oem CH could/would have done the same, dont recall reading anywhere that this is common. Maybe I should have put the gun away and gone to buy a lottery ticket?

Now all it needs is a piece of para cord. Then you could pull start it🤩
sSeems fine for the red dot , but too short if there’s a scope hanging above it.
Polish the rod , spoil the shooter!🥴
on any new rod I get , except a kidd, which is already slick. I put a bit of flits on it and the spring and polish both by moving the spring up and down and all around. .

The handle , i like a bigg hooky one that I can grab underhanded with my pinky.
