I have been loooking to buy some CCI Velocitor for months. I first look on Ammoseek, Then Midway USA, Optics Planet, etc, etc. Nothing to be had. CCI's website says "currently unavailable". At what point does "unavailable" turn into discontinued? If any of you have any info to share on this ammo, I would appreciate it.

Also check their website, it's updated I believe daily in the early morning. If I recall there used to be an order limit of 10, but now it says 30, so more open/available.

That said, VISTA sold off all their brands recently, so who knows what the new owner will do with Federal/Speer/Remmington/CCI

They are n stock here.
I have never purchased from this business. I did check scam detector , and scam advisor. only 2 comments on better business bureau 50% each. They seem to be a legit busine, but always beware. Make a small order then go for broke if good.
edit. They have an eBay store. 99.6 positive

Thanks for your responses. I once again checked the CCI website. Once again, "currently unavailable". I understand Winchester and Aguila have something to compete with the Velocitor. I will be checking them out.

Aguila has the interceptor at 1470 FPS.

Cant move right now as Im taking care of my 91 YR old Mother.
YEs I would road trip to a store that could sell it to me. Last i heard I think CT wont do it. Maybe Pa. or Vermont.
I have tried Mini mags--no comparison. Ive tried 10 -12 brands and Velocitors come out on top for my marlin 39A, My sons 97 Cowboy, and my 2 pistols(Smith 63 and Colt NF). I think my Winchester 52B heavy barrel also shoots them best.
Ill certainly give Aguila a try. Ill have to look for them though. Stores around here only have what their buyer supplies for them. They dont do requests.

Nice details Gladesguy. I mainly use them for small game hunting so performance is important but when its combined with tight accurate groups too it surely is a winning round for me. I cant understand all the hype on these specialized quiet rounds, segmented rounds ,and a few other weird ones over a proven successful type like the Velocitor. Its obvious these buyers who select this type ammo for stores has no experience shooting them.

Hunting and plinking ammo. Tin can ammo.
Take it and some saltine crackers with you to the range with an extra rifle. If there are any kids at the range that are board as if they can join you on the RIMFIRE range and shoot saltine crackers together and use that ammo for that……

I’m just thinking out loud.
