I seem to recall someone glass bedding several arrow shafts into the forearm of a flimsy stock to stiffen it up without adding a bunch of weight to it...may want to look into something like that

 

Smaller diameter stiffeners like carbon fiber kite rods might work even better than arrow shafts, same good idea though. I’ve used 0.220” thick-walled graphite rods for similar applications in other flexy stocks where they worked great. I used a good quality epoxy to attach the rods in grooves I cut into the bottoms on the inside of the stocks. JB Weld worked great.

I shoot Beeman carbon arrows, and have for over 30 years now, so sometimes I forget about any other material even being used...

and I think I would try devcon to glue them in..but that's only because I have a bunch of it on the shelf

 

I just went and dug it out, not near as flexy as I had remembered but does move a bit with some effort, kind of wondered if a length of pickatiny rail mite stiffen it up.
