I think I'd like a bit more substantial bolt knob . I think I like the simplicity of the DIP knob but can't figure out if the 419 finger groove knob would feel any better (allows running the bolt with the index finger). Hard to make a decision without physically trying both of them .

Can anyone offer some advice. ?

I have both those knobs mounted on different 457's. Both will work. It's a matter of personal taste. FWIW, I find the finger grove design and overall fit and finish on the A419 knob slightly better than the DIP product. The finger groove works well IF you learn to use use your pointer finger ( vs grabbing with whole hand) to run the bolt. The DIP feels bigger in hand though. Also FWIW, I think the Little Bertha knob from Anarchy Outdoors to be the best in all respects.

Thanks for all the replies . Seems like they are both quality products .

looking through the responses, I think the DIP executive II would be the right choice for me , as I'm using this rifle to teach my 7 year old kid to shoot and while his fingers are still a bit too short to use the finger groove , he could benefit from the additional leverage to help close the bolt. I also considered the DIP big "Juan" knob but felt it would be comically large on such a small rifle .

If it were just me using this CZ 457 scout, I might tend towards the 419 or the anarchy knob.

... still haven't pressed the "Buy" button though , so my final decision might change :)

Thanks again !

The Little Bertha is kind of a stretched out version of the A419. It gives you a finger grove for comfort but also gives you extra length for better leverage/ easier throw on tight bolts. It's longer than the other two mentioned. ( More Leverage might be good for a youngster?) It also has some assertive but a easy on the hand knurling . Lastly, I feel the fit and finish is allot better than the DIP and slightly better than the A419. Of the 6 different bolt knobs I've purchased for my CZ's, the AA is my favorite ( and most expensive). Your needs/wants may vary.

Ordered the DIP executive II .

As others have suggested, it largely came down to personal preference ( I dislike knurling or texture on a knob that would be handled every shot) .

I might have considered the 419 knob if it came without knurling .

The AO knob seems really nice , but a bit out of place on a $350 rifle .

Thanks for all the help.

For what it's worth, I also considered the rowe tactical knobs till I realized they were hollowed out .Amazon.com
I got stuck with one because it didn’t look closely enough, it was intended for my BMR. TBH it’s not so bad if you don’t look too closely at it;) 🤦‍♂️, it came off anyway though to make room for the Exec II - your choice(y);)

Knob installed . Slightly nicked the old knob with the vice grips when removing it despite several layers of protective tape .

in any case, the DIP executive II seems to be the right choice for me . It's significantly longer than the stock CZ ball but somewhat lighter (I don't feel that makes a big difference in this application ).

It doesn't look or feel out of place on my diminutive 457 scout .

Functionally, it does make working the bolt significantly easier (at the expense of a longer distance to close / open the bolt ... but that's just physics ).

Once again, thanks for all the advice and options. I might try my hand at turning a knob or playing with some of the cheap plastic options for fun later on but am satisfied with tlmy current choice for now .
