Well. As many of you that have the Black Mamba upper installed on the Ruger Mk iv frame...no one can answer?

 

I have the Black Mamba 6" w/o threaded on my Mk iv aluminum lower. It is a great match
for me. But I have always preferred the MK pistol lowers over the 22/45 for grip angle.

I think most people prefer 22/45. If I do go polymer, I want to make sure it holds up.

 

I find that the Volquartsen Black Mamba top fits well on my 22/45 Lite frame. This has been my go-to gun for the last few years and I've only had one problem. After 85,000 rounds a piece of the top broke off and made the gun unserviceable. VQ fixed it with no questions asked and put a new barrel in it.

It's my Steel Challenge gun so gets a lot of use until recently. A friend gave me a 10/22. Another gave me a TacSol barrel and stock. I've been shooting that for the past 6 months and really enjoying it.

After the Summer, temps around 115 - 120, I stay home, I'll be shooting the Mamba again.

Thanks Steven. I have a BM LLV 4.5 on top of a TK Kraken Lower. I like the feel of it. So much so I baught another BM X, and I want to go a different route on the frame. I've been looking at the MK IV 22/45 Lowers. Haven't decided on which way to go. 🤔
