First of all, I will not sell anything at this time. Please do not ask me what I have. But, I have close to a dozen rifles that need a new home. I use the adds here for firearms and accessories with good success. But is this a good place to sell spring piston air guns? Is there another place I might try? Thanks

I have sold several high quality FWB air rifles here, and the biggest problem was not knowing the history, i.e. how long since the last seal change or rebuild, who did the rebuild, how many pellets fired, what's the pellet velocity, etc. etc. I had inherited them from a friend who didn't know, so I didn't know. I could chrono the pellets, but that was it. Most savvy air rifle people run away when you don't have that information. I ended up getting very little for them, despite being $1000-$1500 rifles.

I have long time relationships with the local pawn shop owners. I acknowledge that the price they pay will be significantly less than you could by selling it yourself. But, the guys I know are not "ripping you off". They have overhead, have to put up with Pawn shop buyers and other considerations. If you have to sell it quickly or just don't want to deal with selling it yourself, the pawn shop can be an option. I have sold several item to the pawn shops. Just never airguns. Shady pawn shops are a different story. Many of my firearms came from pawn shops.

I have the Air Force Texan LSS moderated big bore .510 PCP air rifle hunters combo and it’s really not that loud. It’s a really nice gun. However, I now have to sell it and I’m trying to figure out where I can do so. Bought it in November for my then fiancé that we are no longer together. It is past the 60 days that I would be able to return it. So now I’m just kind of stuck in a bind. I would love to keep the gun because it’s pretty freaking awesome however I have to afford to live now.

See posts above, deleting pawn shops. Note, however, that RFC requires at least 30 days of membership and at least 30 posts before you can use the Marketplace. Restrictions of that type are used to reduce the possibility of scammers ripping off members. Restrictions of that sort may also be found in others sites mentioned above.

One thing that could help would be to separate the stock and the action, allowing you to package the gun in a much shorter box, thus reducing the cost calculation, which is based on length, width and height as well as weight. That reduced length also reduces the possibility of the box being torqued or bent in the middle, reducing the possibility of the gun being broken or bent during transit. And don't label the box as "Airgun", or tell them that an airgun is in the box when you take it in. Depending on where you are located, they may refuse to ship it, even though it is legal.
