Baby Browning 4x rimfire question

I recently picked up a nice BAR 22 from '78 and was looking at topping it with a 3/4" Baby Browning rimfire scope. Had a question, the built in base, is that static to the scope or can it be move fore and aft to gain or reduce eye relief?

Static.
It does not slide as did some of the little Bushnells of that era, which also had an integral mount.
You will be limited by the length of the receiver groove, which isn’t much on an automatic.
All that said, a 4x won’t be very critical for eye relief.
If you want one of these, perhaps you should consider the version which uses rings.
