Any S&W 648 22WMR Fans?

I recently acquired a nice early 6 shot 648 (July 1990) from an old friend's estate along with a few other firearms. He was never a revolver guy and it had come to him from his father who was a big collector and shooter. It is near new with the box and all the original contents, and apparently shipped with the factory Combat Stocks on it. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but I am looking forward to it as soon as possible.
Anyone here use one for target or hunting purposes?

A 4 inch is almost as handicapped as a 6 inch with the WMR, compared to say an 18 inch plus rifle length.
You could get a 648 cylinder for a 4 inch 617. It might (or might not) require a small amount of fitting. It's been done by a few guys.

I don't NEED a .22 Mag handgun, but it would be cool to get a WMR cylinder for my 617, and have a "convertible".
