Just wondering if anyone has tried the conversion and how well does it work?
Thanks for you time!

That looks... ridiculous! Whatever floats your boat, but if I could have it here in the PRK, I'd opt for the belt-fed 22lr upper for the AR [Lake Machine, iirc?]: it just plain makes more sense if your objective is uninterrupted shooting pleasure... And a lot less "Rube Goldberg" while you're at it! ;)

Bonus: the belt fed upper drops the empties down the now-vacant mag well like a properly house-broken rifle should. :bthumb:

Now I understand, I keep forgetting about other commie gov. regs. some have to live with. Then I guess it won't matter for looks or balance as that's your only option. I feel so blessed when people remind me of things I can still own and feel so sorry for the others who can't because of stupid people voting to be sheep to their gov. There are more sheep now more than ever feeding at the gov. troff so they are willing to give up a real life for a FREE ride, so sad!

I have the am180 drums and adapter for my m16. I had one for the Uzi I used to own as well. they make the adapters for others as well. Unless you have a FA the thrill is not really there as they are heavy when loaded. As for function they work fine. my oldest plastic one is around 6 years old and while scuffed up it still runs great. You can get the drums in 165 220 and 275 capacity. I highly recommend getting the loading tray and stand they make loading MUCH MUCH faster. Bazooka bros sells the adapter the other parts drums winders and such can be had from below. http://www.brasscatchers.com/am180/parts/index.html#Anchor-MAGAZINE-14210
