Do any of you adults shoot the Henry lever Youth Models? Golden Boy or regular.

Not a Henry, but I have purchased numerous youth model rifles and shotguns which I restocked for an adult LOP. In many cases that was the path of least resistance to get a short, light handy long arm. In the case of certain rifles not only were the barrels shorter but also given a lighter profile.

Big guy little gun

Yes I love my Henry youth lever 22.i am 62 6 foot 2 and unfortunately not 62 kgs, more like 150 kgs.

Even though my arms are long ,36 inch sleeve ,I prefer a short stock rifle.Must be my Russian ancestry. So for me the youth size is great.

I also prefer a shorter barrel.I scope all my rifles so sight radius is meaningless to me . The short barrel and length of pull ,make this rifle well balanced ,light ,and highly controllable.

I suspect the golden boy youth with its heavier barrel and sloping But stock are a different kettle of fish, but that's what makes the world go round.

My only Henry so far is the standard Youth 22LR. I got it because of easy handling, and because of a trumped-up excuse that my daughters would find it more attractive :) .
I added the large loop lever, hammer extension, and sling swivels (all bought from Henry). Attached a home-made leather sling with brass fittings.
Next year I plan to add Skinner peep sights. I've run it with a small red-dot, but it just doesn't "look right" with that super high-tech thing on it.

My goal is to double it's value by adding accessories. Just kidding. Sort of.

I have several Henrys but no youth models. However, I love youth models as they're so light and handy.

I do have a Cricket in .22 Mag and a discontinued TC Hot Shot. I added spacers to the stocks and topped them off with slip-on recoil pads to reach ny proper LOP.

They're both neat little rifles and so lightweight it's amazing. The TC Hot Shot is exceptionally accurate. It's my favorite squirrel rifle. I'm sure the Henry youths are fine little rifles too.

I have both a classic H001 and what I call the "Henry carbine" or "youth carbine" H001Y. Of course the carbine is quicker handling and quicker on target because it has the stock rear sight and a green Hi-Viz fiber optic on the front. The classic H001 is more of a "tack driver" because it has a Marbles Tang Sight on the rear and a green Hi-Viz fiber optic on the front which yields a longer sight radius. Both are accurate and cycle everything from Aquila Super-Colibri to CCI Velocitors depending on the venue and purpose.
