77/22 22mag to 17hmr

I like the 17hmr round, only rifle I have is heavy and setup with a thermal(Annie 1517 s br) that is perfect setting on a carbon death grip tripod.
I have a 77/22 mag that I like with the changeable barrel and factory laminate stock. Is there a barrel that is a direct replacement in 17 hmr for the 77/22 22mag. A field stock for the Annie is expensive and I like the weight and fit of the 77/22. I don’t want to make any modifications that are not reversible. Or buy another Annie or 77/22 in 17hmr and call it a day.

I don't have a WMR/VBZ, (wish I did), but I did swap out the 24" VBZ barrel on my LR rifle for a Shilen with a Heavy Sporter/Varmint 22" tube. The fit was perfect.

I'd like to say the Shilen barrel made a big difference, but unless you feel that 1/10th of an inch group size reduction is a lot, and it may be for some, the OEM barrel is actually very good. Mine will get shortened and threaded for a suppressor before too long, because, as noted, swapping barrels on the older 77/22's is easier than just about any other modification, (not cheaper, BTW).

My guess is that any of the quality barrel sources can match the barrel dimensions to the last digit on a good vernier.
