I just got a wild idea a Taurus 942 would be a nice addition to the carry rotation. So off to ammoseek and the least expensive .22WMR is 40 cents per round? Yikes.

Not a good time to get into anything "new". The last 22 mag I bought was some V max at about $13 per box and before that some Winchester 40 gr JHP for about $10. With the price of rimfire ammo, reloaded centerfire becomes a real competitive choice. Lumber is coming down. I think ammo will too in about 3 more years:rolleyes:

Day before yesterday I was in the nearest to me Cabelas, a rare visit for me. There I found 40 cents a round 22 WMR and 13 cents a round CCI mini-mags. I left both offerings on the shelf. I did find one box of Hornady 60 grain 22 bullets which one of my 223 rifles loves and those came home with me as they were at a reasonable price.
