Not a good time to get into anything "new". The last 22 mag I bought was some V max at about $13 per box and before that some Winchester 40 gr JHP for about $10. With the price of rimfire ammo, reloaded centerfire becomes a real competitive choice. Lumber is coming down. I think ammo will too in about 3 more years

 

That is a ripoff whoever is offering at that price..I did not see any over around 15.00 a box at the local show today..Still too high for me, so I bought 2 boxes of 17 HM2 for ten a box,LOL

Sad part is, it's bulk ammo.
Over 250 fps ES and strays.

 

if you have any walmarts locally check them out. the ones in my area have been getting cci 40gr ho in the milk cartons for just over $24. i've been seeing them pretty regularly over the last few weeks here in CT

 

x2 For the last month or so my walmart has been getting ammo in regularly, mostly at the old prices..........

 

Looking at wikiarms, 22WMR is .39 a round. 223/5.56 is .37 rd and 7.62x39 is .37 rd. It's cheaper to shoot either of those than 22 mag if buying online. Crazy. 22lr has been coming down in price, slowly coming down, but 22mag...different story.

 

Day before yesterday I was in the nearest to me Cabelas, a rare visit for me. There I found 40 cents a round 22 WMR and 13 cents a round CCI mini-mags. I left both offerings on the shelf. I did find one box of Hornady 60 grain 22 bullets which one of my 223 rifles loves and those came home with me as they were at a reasonable price.

 

Man, you guys are cheap
When I take out my WMR I shoot for accuracy and will spend a couple hours shooting a box...maybe two.
$15-$30 for an enjoyable afternoon with my two sons...priceless.
First world problem.

Yeah dunhams here is full of massively over priced ammo. Even had wmr at 18 something a box. 9mm range ammo 23.99 for 50. They can SAD.
