3D Printed magazine - Video Product Demonstration

First of all, please forgive the unprofessional video production. There wasn't much thought put into this vid - I simply wanted to demonstrate the magazine doing its thing.

There are one or two 'itsy-bitsy' modifications needed before I'm ready to market, however this won't add to your delivery wait time.

If you have any questions, by all means ask away. The only thing I can't answer now is "how much?"...because we're negotiating. As far as delivery date, I'd say it's going to be about 2-4 weeks for the first batch... if the spring people deliver on time.

So, without further ado, allow me to introduce the worlds first 3D printed Izhmash BB 7-2 magazine in 22WMR.

Notice the two followers in the first picture - both are printed, however the one on the left is polished and the one on the right is not. Unpolished slides more freely inside the magazine, however either will work. The final product will use an unpolished follower. (polished was used in the video)

BI-Series Magazine Product DEMO

Fellas, please bear-in-mind gldnedge's thread is a product demo ... not a sales demonstration.
I believe gldnedge's thread is helping to better-guage interest in the mags gldnedge is developing.

Moreover, gldnedge should be commended for his efforts and due diligence in pursuing a U.S. sourced BI-Series magazine.
When gldnedge announces his magazines become available for sale ... to this end a listing should be made
in the RFC Ad Section.

Thank you for the kind words, aom22, and for filling in the blanks regarding how I will ultimately sell these magazines in the Trading Post.

Since you mentioned it, I think a video sales demonstration would add some spice to my eventual 'for sale' ad. Ha!.....yet another great idea from fellow RFC members!

The video looks great and speaking of which, what did you finish your stock with? Looking forward to buying a couple of 22 WMR mags from you when they become available. We all here appreciate the time and effort you put into this.

Nice video. Thanks for your efforts.

I noticed that though you were able to insert the prototype magazine and have in lock in with a closed bolt while it was empty, when it had 10 rounds in it it wouldn't lock in with a closed bolt.

It appears to me that the top round can't be pushed down so it is flush with the feed lips as the magazine is inserted. This would allow the magazine to go far enough up in the magwell to lock in. Have you looked to see if the follower legs and/or the magazine spring are too long, preventing the stack of rounds from pushing down just enough to allow the magazine to lock in?

Thank you sincerely for your patience

I am finally *almost* satisfied with the BB 7-2 3D printed mags. This will be my last development update.

One magazine component is currently being re-manufactured (mag base insert) because I did not feel the design was robust enough to withstand the stress of long-term spring compression. When these improved base inserts ship to me in roughly two weeks, I will immediately list the magazines you see pictured below FOR SALE in the Trading Post.

Thank you all so much for waiting patiently as this project unfolded, and for your earnest support and enthusiasm. I honestly believed the magazine would evolve much faster than it did (and with a few less hurdles).... but it DID happen, and I am proud to attach my name to the outcome!

Cheers! :bthumb:

Bill this is a 10 year old thread and the OP has not logged on for 4 years...dry hole friend. Plus asking to buy or sell outside of our Marketplace is against our rules.

I understand reading the thread where you might think it's OK but it's not. Free pass on this one and I'm closing this to prevent other new members from doing similar.

You have enough posts and time as a member to place a wanted to buy ad. Don't know if you'll get any bites but that is my suggestion.
