RWS had been non-existant for a few months. Most Eley has had good availability. Lapua and SK are hit and miss.

 

Maybe supply and demand. Demand may the two wars going on. Gotta bite the bullet… All the US and Mexico made ammo you can shoot. Maybe the near future Norma may be made in USA.

 

The only US ammo I'll bother with is CCI standard velocity. And Eley is pretty well always available and most flavors are far an away better ammo than the domestic stuff.

 

killoughshootingsports has Eley SubSonic 38 gr. HP @ $7.99/box/50 in stock (or a bit less for a case).

I have purchased a brick of Match and a brick of Tenex from them.. both shipped as promptly as their ads claim.

 

Like others have said, it's tough sledding finding the the German .22lr these days.
As noted above, Killough Shooting Sports is a good place to look for Eley ... and they do indeed ship quickly.

 

As for out of stock ammo.. I check the 'contact when available' block.

The most important part; order immediately when you receive the email indicating the ammo is back in stock.

 

This has everything to do with the dred thing that is a no no here. Politics.

 

😂 Man you guys think $10 a box for German 22 is pricey. In my neck of the woods your lucky if you get it for $25 a box after tax. Oh and since we can't mail order it your gonna have to drive around and find it first 😂. Just purchased 6850 rounds of Federal champion 36 grain copper washed HP for $520.

 

While on the subject of ammo.. have any of you had good luck with Wolf? (advertised as made by Eley).

 

It can on occasion be surprisingly good. It can also be lacking. Main problem with Wolfe, IME, is consistency, both from purchase to purchase and within a given lot.
That said, at around $8 per box (which Target Sports USA gets for it) Wolf Match Extra is probably as good as gamble as Eley Club, maybe even a little better ... but neither are true match quality ammos, IME.
Lot of people think Wolfe Match Extra is essentially Eley Club with the lube specified by Wolf, while Wolf Match Target is basically Eley Target with Wolfe's specified lube. They might be right.

 

RWS (Raug) has been purchased by Beretta, so I would assume the ammo is out of stock till Beretta gets their stock in and distributed
