Boy do I need help! I purchased this 10/22 new way back in 1993! I have shot it very little as I usually reach for my Marlin Golden 39A. Well, I purchased a suppressor that should arrive any day and would like to stick the suppressor on this Ruger and a CZ that I also recently dug out of my safe. My 10/22 is bone stock with open sights. I have read what seems like for years about barrels, stocks, triggers you name it. All it seems to have done is make my matters worse! So I would like to get the opinion of you fine experts on this site. I'll give you my criteria of what I think I would like with a budget that is economical. I want to keep and use my factory wood stock. I realize it limits barrel choice but for now I want to use the wood stock. The barrel needs to be threaded for the suppressor. I will put a scope on it and I have some cheap Weaver rings/base but feel free to suggest a good base and rings if its a feasible upgrade. I also purchased the Ruger BX trigger group a year ago so I will install that too. I'm mainly just plinking, squirrel hunting etc. No competitive shooting but want something accurate but not ammo picky. The whole barrel choice has me stuck! Any other suggestions please let it rip. Thank you for the help!

if it were me, I'd pick up a threaded Feddersen 18" sporter weight barrel

for budget scope rings, I like the alloy Leupold rifleman rings...they're inexpensive, light, available in different finishes/heights, and they work

for a scope base, the factory supplied base will work fine..

Thanks for the info on the 2 barrels and Leupold rings. From what I could read up on, that Fedderson barrel sounds really nice. Seems like I read somewhere about Ruger days or sales? Did I miss that already? Any Black Friday sales I should wait for that perhaps Fedderson offers or even Ruger?

the Ruger sale was October 22nd..or 10/22..get it :p

unfortunately, Ruger seemed more interested in pushing some rather bland 75th Anniversary stuff (like t-shirts, and coffee mugs), more than any 10/22 specific gear this year..

maybe we'll get lucky, and Ruger will do something for the upcoming holidays as well..

go to their site and get on their email list..they'll send you info if something is going on, sales wise
