I just wanted to pass this info on. I just purchased one of the kits and now have to wait for it to get here. The kit is the SSAR-22 and comes with a chassis that makes it look like an AR. The chassis has a buffer tube attached and comes with an adjustable stock and a removable AR hand-grip. The kit also supposed to come with a Slide Fire branded Volquartsen 3lb trigger assembly that has the auto bolt release. I heard earlier kits came with a Jard trigger but that is supposed to have changed. The final item in the kit is a complete Slide Fire stock which is sold most.places for more than this SSAR-22 kit. So even if you aren't interested in the slide fire concept, you could buy the kit and sell the slide fire stock and still have a nice tactical stock and a decent trigger. It is being sold for $168.16 plus shipping here: http://grabagun.com/ssar-22-kits.html

Just an update. I got the kit delivered yesterday. I just want to confirm that it is indeed the whole kit. It came with a SSAR-15 Slide Fire stock, the Tac-22 AR style chassis for the 10/22, and a trigger assembly. This kit didn't come with a Volquartsen TG2000 trigger, but instead it had a Jard trigger. From comparing photos, it appears to be their Sportsman model http://www.jardinc.com/new-page-19/ . According to Jard site, retail on the trigger alone is more than what I paid for whole kit. I cant verify that it is a 3lb trigger but it definitely has a dramatically lighter smoother trigger pull than the stock trigger. It has an odd magazine catch though. It doesnt have the usual button style but rather a flat surface with a horizontal groove in the face.

I did try it in the 10/22 and it held a mag really well with no slop.

I also installed the tac-22 chassis today but didnt get a chance to take photos before having to go to work. I will try tomorrow to get some. It was a very easy install. I had to remove the scope rail as it didnt have enough room to fit top piece on with rail still attached to receiver. It took all of 10 mins to get it together. It is only 3 main parts and seems like it will be simple to take apart for cleaning purposes. You have to use the original take down screw but they provide 3 other screws that go into top rail along with an allen screw for the grip. They give you an allen wrench for it. The chassis is made of a polymer but has a nice solid feel to it and fit together nice and tight. I think I am going to like it. Since I haven't found a place that will let me bump fire yet, I just installed the adjustable stock that came with the kit. It is adjustable to 5 positions.

I had wanted to install a Magpul MOE grip on it instead of the one that came with it but the grip mount was too wide for it. The mount is supposed to be designed so you dont have to add the extra block that is required for regular AR15's to use the Slide Fire stock. Also I originally had a 3-9x50 scope with high rings mounted to receiver rail but with the full top rail of the tac-22, even the high rings arent going to work. I may end up either getting some extra high rings or grabbing the 3-9X40 scope on my other 10/22 and seeing if the high rings will work then.

I got a chance to snap a few photos tonight. I was able to get the 3-9x40 scope on using the high rings. (I ended up swapping the 3-9x50 to my other 10/22 using the medium rings already on that one and it worked.) At first I was a little worried about the cheek weld because it seemed awfully high but it is just about right with the scope mounted.

I also changed out the flash hider that had come on that barrel with a recoil enhancer that comes with the Slide Fire S&W M&P22 kits. Luckily this had the threaded barrel. I was able to pick it up for $20 off ebay. It is supposed to slightly increase recoil and help with bump firing the M&P22. I figured it couldn't hurt if/when I get an opportunity try bump firing this setup with the SSAR-15 stock.

I also tried using the standard Ruger BX-1 10rd mags with the Alangator Tri-mag and it fit just fine so I have options. The handguard is a little wider on the bottom and feels very natural to hold on to.

I love mine.... but unfortunately I paid a hell of alot more then what u are paying..... I got it probably 1yr 1yr 1/2 ago......

Have had a blast with it thus far with the bx-25 mags:

Just received a GSG 110rd we went and tried it out using two full drums with 1 hickup only. Not bad at all....

Any update on how the ssar-22 worked for ya with the jard trigger ? I just received mine today from grabagun, it came with the jard sportsman trigger too which was kind of a disappointment... But
I guess if it works alright its not to big a deal (the price was right) but I'd love to hear some feedback on functionality with the jard before I install it. Thanks

you get an extra 5% off which is:

Total shipped cost that I paid was:

Although this is not as good as the:
