If you are intending PRS type competition (or shooting at longer distances) you will most likely need a +30-ish MOA base. If the integrated base on the Kidd receiver shown is not ~+30MOA, it will not likely work for you. There really aren't any 10/22 "accurate receivers" as there is LOTS of slop in the bolt/action regardless of brand. (I have Fedderson and Ruger - no difference.) The accuracy will be in your barrel - get a good one (I have a Kidd SS match - excellent with the right ammo). The Kidd 2-stage trigger is the way to go (I have two). The precision limitation of your build will be AMMO. You will need to find a brand/type and LOT that work best. (I've had one-small-hole lots of SKLRM, and SKLRM lots that shoot like a shotgun.) Concentrate on barrel and ammo. You might also consider adding a tuner.

PS - LOTS of responders will tell you NOT to go semi for PRS. I love mine.

 

I built my ‘10/22’ using a Volquartson stainless receiver with a Kidd bolt/handle, 2-stage trigger, and such….not a problem at all with compatibility.

 

I have a couple of precision Volquartsen 10/22 builds that use the Kidd 3.5/3.5oz 2 stage triggers and both work fabulously. Glad I didn't hear anything about incompatibility before I put them together. Whatta Hobby!

I have a KIDD single stage trigger that I have tuned down to 1.5 LBs and the same bolt that you have pictured
along with a KIDD charging assembly stuffed into a stock Ruger 10 / 22 receiver in both fixed and a takedown.

Thank you very much for your replies. Beautiful 10/22’s you guys have. This rifle will be short range PRS shooting 100-200y. Still like to have a Volquartsen receiver with all the rest of the parts being Kidd. Also like a receiver where I can add a 30 moa rail.
