Greeting people!
I was just having a beer and surfing Gunbroker. I entered Ruger 10/22 International into the search bar and noticed 2 seller/distributors had some of the newer walnut/blue ones for sale at what appear to be decent prices. I've read here how some folks like them and lament how hard they are to find, so I thought I'd pass this on. I have no play or involvement with any of the sellers who have them.
A seller named THEGUNGDOCK has 6 listed for $454 and chargers $18 for shipping. A seller named GROVEGUNSHOP1 has 7? listed for $420.99 with $35 shipping.
I bought my new model one about a year ago. Nice rifle out of the box with only a few internal mods.
Just thought I'd pass the info along.

My local shop has a Mannlicher. I’d buy it, but that ugly painted receiver ruins the look.

Instead I bought the ugly painted receiver in a 31210 and put it in an ugly Magpul MOE stock. I actually like the MOE’s look and it fits the plastic cheap look of the receiver. I wish Ruger would offer an anodized receiver as a premium upgrade. Especially on the International's, Anniversary’s and LVT’s.

The "paint" on the receiver may have started after the first "stainless" models. Those were just polished aluminum with a clear coat applied. Did Ruger see how cheap and easy that was and decide to use the same technique on all subsequent black receivers? Does anyone know the timing on the change?

Obligatory non-thread-drift comment: I've had a stainless International for almost 30 years, a laminated version. It has always shot very well and is one of my favorite rifles. The only changes have been a minor trigger job and mounting a silver compact 4X scope on it. See avatar.

Yes. My first 10/22 was a stainless and green laminate International I bought from a buddy (I started late. It was only about 5 years ago). I parted with it and an ugly plastic Savage B17 to get a CZ 457. Really miss that rifle now. My walnut and blue is much better looking though. I really prefer wood to synthetic, but I do own a couple synthetic rifles. The painted receivers on the new 10/22's don't bother me.

Agreed! All in good humor!
Flys: I've seen pics of your "Mannlicher" collection and I am envious. I cheaped out a few years back when I bought that Savage B17 over the more expensive CZ 455 FS. Been shopping for one since then. They are scarce and pricey. One of the guys I go ground squirrel shooting with has a Ruger M77 full stock in 22 WMR. Those are rare and pricey as well; he won't part with it.

I love the Internationals. I now have two of them and am actively looking for a third. My first, bought at a gun show years ago, is a silver in the grey laminate stock. I guess it’s what is called the “Walmart Special”. After purchasing it, I started shooting prairie dogs with a friend who was using a bolt gun chambered in Mach 2. He showed me how to convert my International to mach2 by changing the barrel and using a heavy bolt handle. I got a barrel from Shaw (after some pleading) that was profiled for the International. I have shot most of a brick of Eley Mach 2 through it with zero problems. A couple of months ago I found a good buy on one in excellent condition on Gunbroker. It is the blued barrel and receiver with the black/gray laminate stock. I swapped out the trigger assembly for the Ruger 2.5 pound one and installed a scope. This makes a Ruger 10/22 that I am really proud of.
Now if I can find one of the latest ones in the walnut stock, I will be happy.

I want a green laminate model my buddy has on a rotating rack in his man cave.
I think I may have to steal it!
I've heard you can dye an unfinished black laminate stock with undiluted simple green to achieve a green tinted laminate mannlicher stock...with that in mind, I picked up an unfinished black laminate from one of CWP's clearance sales years ago..have always been planning on such a project myself..always wanted a wally world special to add to the collection and figured I'd settle for a clone
