Well, you just knew it was going to happen sooner or later. All of the other species of 1022's have their own picture threads so why not have one for the Takedown versions?

Here's your chance to show us your 1022 Takedown rifles and your carry bag contents.

Bone stock, lightly modified, heavily modified or Frankensteined beyond all recognition.....we want to see 'em all!

Show us your stocks, show us your scopes, show us your slings, show us your sights. Show us the stash you carry in your Takedown bag and any other accessories and modifications with which you have tricked out your Takedowns.

Come on, we know you got 'em so let's see 'em!

Here's a start.

My unmolested Takedown.

Although unmolested it has not remained. I have had the barrel lobbed off at 16", threaded and sight relocated. I have modified the bolt release, angled the bottom of the bolt, installed a synthetic bolt stop and done a trigger job. I am currently waiting on an OD green Hogue stock upgrade with a lot more mods and accessories to come.

Cool little rifles.

Here's mine. It's got the Leapers UTG 3-9X32 CQB scope w/ the supplied qd rings. I installed a Kidd TJK w/ the 2.75lb spring, Rimfire Technologies mag pull release, auto bolt release, and charging handle/guide rod & spring. I've got a Kidd extractor in there as well. I've done a bunch of polishing on the bolt and just generally cleaned things up. It's running perfectly now and shooting pretty well. I've only had it at the local indoor range and a 25yd pistol range, can't wait to get it on a 100yd range.

That's 8 of 10 in (roughly)1cm, from 25. Not sure how I lost the other 2, but I'm sure it's me, not the gun!

its just a gloss poly finish for now. no stain or anything. I have some small fitting issues to take care of and then i will strip it and refinish it. im not sure yet what im gonna use then.

the laser is fun but definately out of place on a rifle finished like this. it was great on the original plastic stock and im gonna keep it for sure, but not on this one.

anyone have a stainless barrel band or an original metal buttplate they wanna donate to the cuase?

Saw this on ebay regarding the barrel band, here's your heads up. :)

Barrel shortened & threaded fora suppressor. Scout scope was just mocked up for the pics but I'll be having the barrel machined for it soon.

Might switch to XS sights also as the aperture on the tech sights is a bit small for me.

I've had it for two months, and haven't even had a chance to shoot it. I don't like working third shift.

I have done the auto bolt release mod.
UTG Bug Buster scope
UTG bipod
Promag barrel band

After shooting it and seeing how it performs, I'll isolate and work on those issues, if any.

Edit: the BX-25x2 mag is NOT resting on the ground. It's the angle I was at that makes it look like that.

I had the front site moved back and the barrel threaded. Put my Thompson Machine CHD on it. The trigger is on it's way back from Brimstone with a Tier 1 job. I also bought a Tuffer Buffer to replace the OEM one. The scope is a Red Star I've had for 25 yrs. It's small, 4x, has really nice glass in it. Back in the day it was a whopping $75.

One more ....

Hi All,

After getting .223, 357, 38SPL, 9MM it was time to get a 22LR and after some mental debates as to which manufacturer take-down to buy....the 10/22 won :bthumb:

Anyways...for months I've been wanting to get a black version but not even a chance (checking daily with no avail). So, I took it upon myself to get it blackened. I got it Cerakoted and I was blown away how good the paint job is. Just sharing my new babe. :AR15firin

Cheers all...
