I'm looking at MDT and others for my recently acquired BXR. Don't want to spend the money and then it not work. Will the BXR work in all 10/22 compatible chassis and stocks?

es, the Bergara BXR shares many parts with the Ruger 10/22, including magazines and compatible triggers and aftermarket parts, but it does not share the barrel or most stocks. While the BXR is a 10/22-style rifle with excellent components, its proprietary threaded barrel and unique stock design are specific to Bergara.

Parts that Share Compatibility:
  • Magazines: Standard and aftermarket Ruger 10/22 magazines work with the BXR.

  • Triggers: Ruger 10/22 aftermarket triggers can be used with the BXR.

  • Other Aftermarket Parts: Many 10/22 aftermarket parts are compatible with the BXR due to its 10/22-pattern design.
Parts that Do Not Share Compatibility:
  • Barrels:
    .

The BXR features a proprietary threaded barrel, making it incompatible with standard 10/22 barrels, although you can find BXR pre-fit barrels.

  • Stocks:
    .

Ruger 10/22 stocks do not fit the Bergara BXR due to differences in receiver and pistol grip shape.
Key Differences:
  • Precision Focus: The BXR is designed for precision, unlike a basic 10/22 plinker, and includes a high-quality trigger and match-grade barrel.

  • Threaded Receiver and Barrel: The BXR's threaded receiver and barrel contribute to its tight tolerances and accuracy.

  • Receiver Rail: The BXR comes with an integral 30 MOA receiver rail.
