Which Brace for Ruger Charger

I want to buy a Ruger Charger and equip it with a pistol brace. I have experience with 10/22s but no experience with pistol braces. It appears that the two main choices would be the Charger with the vertical picatinny rail equipped with a SB Tactical FS1913 folding brace, or the Charger without the vertical picatinny equipped with the SBA3 Takedown Kit. Which would be your choice or is there a better choice? Thank you for your inputs.

I got the copper customs brace adapter for mine and attached a tail hook 2. I happen to like the SBR look while still being legally a pistol and the extensions on the tail hook make it much easier to cheek weld/shoulder. It's kinda awkward to shoot one handed with the brace open but it can be done.

Brace extended.

It doesn't look like much in the pics but when holding it the extension ads a lot of usability.

second the copper customs adapter (assuming you can find one in stock). then you can add a mil spec tube and any pistol brace you want

keep in mind there is a max 13.5 lop limit for a pistol, and the measurement is taken at the longest setting if adjustable

i like the sba3 (which ended up on my cz scorpion)

the kak is also a good choice for the .22 since there isnt any recoil, as long as you arent planning on actually strapping it to your arm

I think the best-looking brace is the GearHeadWorks Mod 1--I have one and it is very solid and looks professional.

The GHW Mod 2 is the next one in line, at least for me, but I have read that they wobble a bit; it being adjustable for length of pull.

You could shim it though, the tube, with tape to mitigate the said looseness.

I just could not seem to cotton to those plastic and rubbery braces, as they look toy-like.

My opinion and taste but it's just me.

For those connecting to the stock picatinny rail, is anyone have issues with the brace connection not being flush? Like either mounting a notch too high or one too low? Went with the sig brace and expected flush and wasn’t sure if it was just this brace or all others with the stock rail. Thx

I get I expected you could lay a ruler on the upper stock of the gun and the ruler would continue down the brace. But it appears you either have to mount the brace lower on the picatimmy, which you would space under the ruler.

Or place brace higher on the picatimmy and the ruler would then slanted up.

Not sure if this explanation works
