I like (just for fun shootin) the little cheap metal swinging targets at wally world!! For accuracy I like the little bity pellet 25' targets!! Shooting those at 50yds is a challenge when the whole circle is as big as the cross hairs!! You can't even see the bulls eye you just center it and hope for the best... Me and my cousin count the pnts and play like the first to 50 or something it makes for a fun day!! :)

My all time favorite is a one gallon milk jug filled with jello. Combine that with a 180 gr round nose at 30-40 yards, well...:D It's a good way to show the effects of a bullet.

I also like plates (steel), cans of cheap soda, golf balls, eggs, apples, oranges. Oh, and these guys...

Don't worry, they're not original.

For basic plinking fun, I favor the steel soup cans - they last longer and dance better than soda cans.
The yellow foam practice golfballs are good, to. They withstand a lot of .22 shooting, and don't bounce as far as real golfballs, letting you shoot more before having to retieve them.

Oh yeah.. when I am shootin for accuracy with paper targets I always like to stick a few extra tacks just for fun.... And the milk jug full of water if pretty good but you need to tape the lid on for more of a explosion.... I shot one with a 175gr 7mm the other day... it was in three pieces and 20yds father than where it started from....... Also take about 6-8 thick phone books and tape them all together and soke them for a day or so and at 50 to 100 yds they can withstand a pretty good impact!!! and you can test different bulllets for damage that way also!!!:)

Ice cubes

Balloons

Clay pidgeons

Caps from .5 liter soda bottles

12 ga. shotgun shells (empty)

And of course my all time favorite: Bowling pins! (with .45 auto)

I have never thought of the paintball idea. Have a case of the stuff, just never thought of shooting AT it. :D

Cheapest cans of pop or soda water I can get my hands on (They explode). Baked been tins, hockey pucks, Clay targets, steel gong, bright coulored golf balls, GUM NUTS, Acorns, Water ballons, Hellium filled balloons swayin in the wind hanging from a tree(shotgun is preffered, rat shot is optional) and old matchbox cars, Barbie dolls. :D

Cheap

Paper Plates, a roll of Duct Tape and a Sharpie....

Use the inside of the tape roll to draw a perfect circle on the bottom of the plate...

Circle the outside of a quarter in the middle for real shooters...

Tape to a tree or whatever...

Great for 10 or 14 round groups @ 50 Yds...

It might sound like I''m a jerk to some people though, but, it makes me sick to see junk left after people are done shooting. Even a plastic or paper box that contained 22 ammo. Because it just grows from there, soon, you've got a new place that people dump junk. Any time someone leaves an area just a little cluttered, it's just more fuel for the land owners to use to close a shooting area. Just my 2cents worth...
