A factory cut away 1928 Thompson SMG. Told my buddy to buy it. He didn’t regrets it to this day

There is a guy who sells empty crown royal bags. His wife made a quilt from crown royal bags. Must have 2-300 empty bags on his table every show. Restored outboard motors, old Post office boxes etc. you name it, you will see it at Tulsa oh and a ton of guns

My friends and I always have a discussion on how stupid it is to pay admission to a gun show to look for something you want to buy. And now days because of the world wide web everybody thinks their stuff is worth collector prices. But we still pay it hoping to find that one great deal. It’s not like it used to be.

I’ve only gone to gun shows in the valley in eastern North Dakota. They used to be really good and now they are tanking. Seems like more tables selling trinkets and just junk. I miss the old days (15-20yrs ago). But I can say the last show I found 4 deals and bought a GSG 1911. Now waiting for some nice weather to shoot it.

I'm here frustrated by not being able to attend the show last weekend. I've missed 3 shows in the past 15-20 years, don't really remember when I first started attending the show. It is one of the highlights of my year. I usually prefer the fall show, but don't ask me why; they have all been more or less great. I've bought a lot of gun related stuff over the years including 8-10 guns and a little unrelated stuff like Mexican Vanilla and an occasional jerky snack. Love the atmosphere of being surrounded by guns and gun people. Only in America does this happen.
Like post #9 I walk until I can't. At my current age of 78, I don't have the stamina that used to carry me for hours. I do love the big show and will be there in the fall, come hell or high water.

I was headed your way by direction of Flysalot and was nearly there when my friend found a DU Beretta he wanted to double back and check on. He ended up getting it and I got distracted and off the other direction we went again. Such a big show.
Was nice meeting several of the RFC members. Will catch ya next time!!
