Nice deal!

 

I bought some of those winchester 40gr in the last couple years they seem to have improved. I compared them with some I got about 15 years ago and the groups were about half the size of the old ones.

 

That's good to know. I haven't shot any Winchester rimfire in a very long time and I remember their 22lr leaves a lot to be desired.

Awesome deal, for that price I would have bought as many as I could. You will not see that price again in the future.

 

Don't know how they are now but many years ago that was about as good as it got for .22wmr, then later it became junk like most of the Winchester rimfire line, hope its back to being good again.

 

I agree I just shot some last week at 50 yards like a 2” group put the CCI in the gun back to 3/4” group… Winchester rimfire is junk!!!

Yes ours in Illinois only sell rifle caliber ammo. Been a few years since they dropped all the pistol ammo sales.

Our local Walmart had some 125 round boxes at $29, which is not bad. They had lots of CCI and a few Winchester 22wmr.

 

Yeah I got a few of them 125 count cci milk cartons. They show up around here pretty regularly. Price has gone up around here to $30 at some stores.

 

Be thankful ya'll can buy items like this at your Walmarts. Here in NJ...no ammo.

At that price, I’d almost risk it buying Winchester ammo.
Have not had good luck with any Rimfire ammo from them since back when they offered 30 gr JHP 22 mag in the black boxes.

 

Good on You for ur score. I’m thinking any time you get a chance to screw over Walmart go for it. They’re doing all they can keeping production lines busy in China and paying the disenfranchised workers minimum wage with no benefits and destroying small town American communities. Yes steal from them if you can. I applaud you SIR.

They must not have understood that the 50 round boxes inside were meant to be sold separately! I wonder how they came up with the “brick” price because that would have been $7.50-ish per box which .22 WMR hasnt been in a decade.

Were you able to go back and buy up the rest?

My 10-in contender shoots the 40 gr super very well! But sometimes the cases split. Mine is pretty old ammunition. Maybe that issue has been resolved?

 

the new Winchester .22 Magnum isn't good like the old stuff.
