I know this isn't a Rem 37 or 40X, but it's inspired by the 40X. This is the Vudoo Gun Works V-22. It's a true-to-scale mid lock Rimfire Repeater, you might notice the lug ways to not extend forward of the lug abutment in the receiver and the bolt lugs are concealed. I completed the design and it's in production!

Barrels are:

Vudoo Cut Rifled
Bartlein
Krieger
Lothar Walther
Shilen Ratchet

Twist is 16.5, the trigger we stock and use is the Timney 510U, but any Remington 700 style trigger will work. The action drops into any Remington 700 stock or chassis system, the only difference on the V-22 is the shorter length of the ejection port. I do have targets to post and will do so asap.

Mike,
As I mentioned in a thread on another forum, I'm so pleased with my two CMP 40X repeater conversions that I don't want to sell either of them in order to be able to swing the purchase of a V-22 action. However, I've got several new rifles I put together to sell, as well as a few used custom rifles for sale, so sooner or later (hopefully sooner) will be able to get going on another 22rf project. Have a couple of Krieger 22rf blanks due next month, and a Manners T4A Elite stock on order - one of these days...

Where are the targets promised to be forthcoming? Does this barreled action for about $2K have an accuracy guarantee?? Will this fit in a 40X stock?? Thank you.
The top target is 10 shots, calm day. Bottom target is 11 shots, L to R wind, both are 50 yards.

You an easily expect less than 1/2" groups with high quality Match ammo. My groups are all at least 10 shots, all ragged holes. The action is a direct drop in to any Rem700 based stock, including the 40X stock.

The magazine is the AICS form factor, so it's compatible with any DBM or chassis system that accepts AICS .308 magazines.

Lothar Walther barrels have been around a long time, they make barrels for numerous OEMs. The contours in our package builds are specific to VGW, but, of course, similar to other contours (Heavy, Medium and Light Palma). Lengths are currently 16 to 20 inches, but we can go longer for special order.

Was able to spend a good amount of time behind a few different V-22s this weekend at the NRA World Championships and I am beyond impressed.

I was able to shoot off hand and make a second round hit at 170 yards. A fine Marine from the Marine Corps Shooting Team was hitting that same plate every single round.

There was a plate rack at 485 yards and after calculating the ballistics, multiple guys were consistently making hits on the swingers at that distance.

2 different rifles had more than 1,000 rounds each run through them and not a single issue with any of the rifles.

Vudoo has been good about updating their Facebook. If you don't follow them go out and find them @vudoogunworks

Here are a couple pictures.

That grinning guy in the camo shorts in the center is my team mate who was lucky enough to get down and shoot the rifle and he was totally impressed. He kept a 1/2-3/4" 5 shot group on the 170 yard plate and cleaned the KYL and also hit the 485 plate. He was very impressed with the accuracy and the fit and function on the rifles as you could run them hard without problems. I think these rifles will be really changing the custom .22 market.

I've been shooting a couple of CMP 40X/XB rifles converted into repeaters to use the same magazine as the V-22 for some time now, and am still having a hard time staying in the shop to get work done on other guys' rifles - seems like every decent day that comes along, I would much prefer to be out shooting these rifles than working in the shop. I found a lot # of SK Rifle Match that shoots very well out of both the Benchmark 3-groove of the 40X and the Lilja titebore of the 40XB. I have Jewell HVR triggers & Athlon Cronus 4.5-29x56 scopes on these rifles, both in B&C #2015 stocks with PTG DBM, and they're sweeeet!

Have been reading & looking at the pics in the threads on the V-22 here & on a couple of other forums, and finally gave in to the temptation & ordered an action. UPS delivered a Manners Tactical Elite T4A stock in GAP camo yesterday, plus there's a couple of Krieger 22RF blanks in sendero contour out in the shop, and I'm expecting another Jewell trigger next week - so all I need to get the V-22 up & running is the action & the time to do the bbl work....can hardly wait!
