For a treat my grandmother would walk us down for the kiddie frosted mugs. So A&W of course.

 

Dads old fashioned root beer, Barq's root beer then a&w. Unfortunately I've recently discovered that root beer triggers my migraines, it was my favorite soda prior to that.

 

Henry Weinhard’s root beer in glass bottles. Nice molasses flavor. Great foam.

 

IBC is better than either of those imo.

 

My wife was a car hop at A&W. I must choose A&W.

 

My sister was a car hop at A&W also.
The car hops wore roller skates back then.

 

I like Mug because it doesn't have caffeine.

 

Neither does A&W.

A&W out of the choices. IBC is my 1st choice

 

I like all root beer but Fitz (bottled in St.Louis) is my absolute favorite.

 

I voted for A&W, but only at the restaurant where they make it fresh daily. Otherwise I like the cheaper regional ones.

Couple of IBC votes, I don't think I've ever had that so I'll be looking for it on my next trip to the store and take it for a test run.

This whole thing came about nearly a week ago when I was sick and tired of the Pepsi and Coca-Cola taste and went for root beer and then remembered why I liked it so much and it brought back a few good memories.

 

Cream Soda is good too.

 

Dr. Browns cream soda.

 

"Frosty" brand from a frosty mug.

 

I used to like the cream soda, haven't had in a while.

 

IBC and Barq's.

 

Another IBC fan, but we have a local place called B&K that makes their own in frosty mugs, that's the best..

I’ve been making some better health/lifestyle choices, lately. I was pleasantly surprised at how good Sugar-Free A&W is… so I’m going to vote for ”A&W.”

 

A&W root beer with a big scoop of Home Made brand natural vanilla bean ice cream......Oh my!

Nothing better than a root beer float, no matter which root beer is used!

 

A&W but only on draft at the restaurant. Otherwise Richardson's is hands down the best, on draft at Eddie's Grill Geneva on the Lake Ohio since 1949. Eddie is still at the helm. I don't think Richardson's is available anywhere else any more.

 

I've been to Eddie's a few times, don't think I've tried the root beer..

 

Gotta be either Tab or Hires. ItS great coming home and putting on a 45 or an LP of Fleetwood Mac and drinking and ice cold Tab or Hires and then calling buddies on the party line to see if the wanna watch a double feature after stopping at the drive-in

Mug is the only root beer that doesn't bother my stomach.
