I just installed the Volquartsen Target Hammer Kit and WOW! The trigger pull is so much better. It honestly feels too light. I'm worried that it might be unsafe.
With the rifle reassembled and the hammer cocked, safety off, I tried bumping the stock on the floor and it did not fire. That's good, but it just feels so light to me, maybe I'm just not used to the trigger feeling this light.
Also, I don't know if it matters, but does the direction of the hammer bushings matter at all? I installed it with the longer bushing on the right side of the hammer. My thought was to give more support to the bolt release spring that wraps around the hammer.
Either way, I'm excited to try it out.
Of course, the obligatory pic of the rifle too.
