Being happy with my first attempt at the "magic ellixer" on a bit of Walnut on a Marlin I grabbed up the Tru-oil bottle in anticipation of doing a Ruger 10/22 stock sometime this week.
When I finished that last project there was half a small bottle left, more than enough for a 10/22 stock with many coats.
I have half a bottle of milky rubbery plastic. I was dipping from the bottle with a finger to the armoralled wood surface and appearently enough armorall made it into the bottle to harden the Tru-oil in the bottle much as it does on the stock.
Stupid is as stupid does.
Next time I will pour a little Tru-oil inot a seperate container and either use it all or toss out what I do not use.
Now to see where I can get another bottle of Tru-oil......
