Just wanted to show off the new Holosun 510c I mounted on my new plinker. Still haven't sighted it in but she sure looks good. Whatcha think?

I don't have the bug out version; (Yet!!) but tried the Tippmann because I kept breaking the back plate of the frame rails and firing pins on the CMMG dedicated uppers I have. One of the Tippmanns has just over 50k rounds thru it and no broken parts yet. Honestly haven't pulled the CMMGs out of the safe because the Tippmann just keeps chugging along.

I have also found they are just as accurate, if not wee bit better then the CMMGs I have.

CJT50... re; broken back plate and firing pin...if you haven't already, you might run a bead of weld at the upper rear plate/rail joint, and add a Bore Buddy firing pin and extractor....my welding is pretty sloppy, but functional.... the previous Bore Buddy pin just broke with >18000 rounds of CCI SV on my CMMG B unit..I have a friend that will weld a gusset plate if needed.... I get exceptional support from Bryan B and CMMB customer service....Steel Challenge puts much more strain on my SBR'd AR than I thought it would, for me over 1200 rounds a month... broke a hammer last month... regards

Mine were welded there and still broke on 3 different units. Granted I'm using a steady diet of 1200 - 1260 bulk pack ammo and I think it's just stressing the system in my configuration. CMMG has always been great about replacing broken stuff but when I broke my primary and backup at a match I was little upset.

I'm a bit surprised at that. I wouldn't see that part enduring a lot of stress in a normal configuration.

That said, the Tippman solution of returning the function of the action spring to the receiver extension is smart. I modified a bolt frame to allow the CMMG bolt to operate via a spring in the receiver extension. but I could not find the right spring weight to make it all work.

I'd love to see a Tippman BCG/buffer and spring kit for CMMG barrels.
