So has anyone had a chance togo out and use them yet??

I am looking at ordering a couple this week.

The black paint sounds like a good idea, maybe use a 1/4" wide strip down the middle of each side to keep it clear to see whats left in the magazine??

OK I got 2 of the new 25rd mags in today....Some issues found

1. one of the 2 doesnt seemed have gotten glued at the factory...the 2 halves wont stay snapped together

2. really tight in the gun, had to really work it to get it out

3. loaded up nicely, but seems it may have issues cycling the shells out,
need a trip the the range to see

Have some glue on the one thats not staying together its just some pins and sockets, will see how it does after glueing.

Long time reader, felt I needed to make my first post today, purchased 3 of these magazines for my 795, took them to the range today, horrible feed issues for me, continued jamming, figured maybe the first one was just bad, tried the second mag and it actually wedged a round straight up in the clip with the rim stuck inside and pressing the plastic out making the magazine feeder too fat to be removed.

Ended up having to partially dissasemble the rifle to be able to get it fixed. Didn't bother trying the 3rd one as so much time was already wasted dealing with the first two, stuck with the good ol' 10 round marlin ones the rest of the day, will definitely give them a try again later.

Using Winchester 555's. Next time will try a different brand in each, wasn't worried about it at all though with the reviews people had already posted about them being successful.

Here's hoping they can be fixed :(

Mine is still pending from Midwesthuntersoutlet (In Stock apparently means "we think it might be here eventually").

I have high hopes. I have a 15 round National magazine (which amazingly feeds pretty well in my Franken-Marlin 60/70/795 hybrid, but not so much in my 795), but a 25 round magazine that works well in both guns would be really nice to have.

I also hope that squds' experience is the exception. If it is, and these mags sell well, I hope that other companies see the cash cow that Shooters Ridge is milking and come out with their own mags and accessories for the 795. I like my 10/22 but having real options for my Marlins would be awesome.

I have the same issue, my 795 rifle is not stripping the rounds from the magazines properly 20% of the time. I have four magazines and issues with all 4 of them. Thinking of sending them back and getting my money back if I can.

I tried CCI blazer in the 50 packs, federal 510 in the 50 packs, and Winchester super X in the 50 packs. Same issues with all of them. Same ammo works great, zero failures for anything, using the factory 10 round magazines.

I think I could make them work better. To me it looks like the bullets sit lower in the plastic magazine then in the metal magazine. All of mine look like the bolt did not push the round by the rear part of the casing. When passing by the round it looks like the round was hit in the middle part of the brass casing, moving the round forward then the nose was crushed. If this was a metal magazine I would be pulling the lip apart a little to allow the round to come up further. Not really possible with the plastic setup.

It looks like using a file to open up the area where the bullet is exposed, allowing the round to come up further in the magazine. Would expose more of the rear of the bullet casing where the bolt catches the back of the bullet to be exposed, pushing the round up the feed ramp into the chamber more reliably.

I've not gotten one yet, but do some simple things first...

Insert & remove each mag around 100 times while sitting & watching TV, to help it Wear In...

Check that your stock & action are in alignment so the mags are aligned properly when you insert them!!

check the feed lips...if metal, may need adjustment, much like some other metal lip mags.

They bodies are 100% plastic, the only metal I can identify is the spring. I would like to clean them up a little and see what happens not sure I want to void any warranty there maybe. Might have to try just one and see if I can make it more reliable.

I just bought one from the local store here.

Went through about 200 rounds total. About every other magazine I'd get a feed error, and usually the bolt would dent the cartridge in some way. One time the bolt managed to push the whole cartridge forward in a way that pushed up against the plastic lips so that I could not remove the magazine - I had to carefully pry the cartridge out using a small screwdriver before I could eject the magazine.

All in all, mostly satisfied with it. I'll stick with the factory metal magazines when I'm in a situation where I want more reliability, but for just random practice it's nice to be able to load it up and not worry about reloading for a while.

Also, I found that my magazine will actually fit 26 cartridges. I tried it a few times with 26 and didn't find any problems. I'm going to stick with 25, though, so I don't overstretch the spring.
