Has anyone bought, installed, played -with the TAPCO 10/22 stock? Opinions?

Thanks for sharing info, since I'd never seen this before!
Ordered one tonight!:t

I like it better than the Rhineland Arms rail stock, from the picture of it, anyway.
Should be a lot lighter, too!

Plans for this stock might include:
Tactical Solutions X-ring receiver:eek:
Tac Sol threaded barrel/(fake) suppressor:cool:
Tac Sol extended mag release
Volquartsen TG2000 trigger assembly
Tactical Innovations 25rd mags

It won't take the bull barrel.

I have played with both a finished stock and the pre-production stock.. They are made very well..

The cool thing with this is it comes with 2 tube extension. One straight stocked so you can use optical sightsd the other with a slight downward angle so you can use iron sights.

This stock looks like something I've been waiting for.

Do you know if the pistol grip is removeable and replaceable with other AR style grips?

I'd love to see what the stock looks like from the top, with no 10/22 installed.

I should have mine here, today or tomorrow, to look at, and figure out.

I really don't think it will be that difficult to fit the bull barrel, or even change the AR15 grip, if someone really wants to.

I may even decide just to cut the whole front end off, right in front of the takedown screw, and use the open barrel with a vented shroud, instead.

I won't if I can manage to save enough of the stock to keep it useable, of course, but if it gets out of hand, I'll just see where it goes from there.
What else can you do, with determination?:D

Some people might like to save a few bucks and I doubt the difference in delivery time will be more than a few days.

The pistol grip on the T6 looks much better than the BC grip. I've never liked the feel of the BC grip and you can't switch it out because its molded in.

I'm not into the "Tactical" thing but I thought I might point out a couple things.

If the .920" will not fit why not try GM .750" heavy sporter tapered barrel"

"Running boar" barrel that is tapered to the 18" and then is .920" from there.

Gm sporter barrel, These things are very accurate. We have proven that in SuperStock.

Have Skeeter or CPC set back your stock taper barrel and what your groups sink by more than half.

You do not have to have a .920" to be VERY accurate.

Like I said, I'm not in the tactical thing but this one is cool and not expensive for what you get. If I was still beating around the Mojave in my Baja Bug this thing would fit right in.

I love the stock on the SKS. It gives it a more modern look and feel.

Just an FYI... if you are concerned with keeping the 922(r) compliance (and you should be), you will have to get the other compliance parts so that you don't accidentally build an illegal weapon. I did the stock (3 parts), gas piston, operating rod, and mag (3 parts) so that I have less than 10 imported parts.

Tapco has compliance section that shows all the parts you need and they are all marked "Tapco USA".

T6 stock...dumb question...

This might seem a little dumb, but...as I look at the posted picture of the T6 stock, which I kinda like, incidently...I wonder if one can get a decent sight picture using the iron sights, over the top/forward Pic rails? -FNR.

If you look at the picture of the stock with the barrel installed, on the previous page, you can notice the iron sights (front and rear) are lower than the front rail/cover.

From what I can tell, the iron sights will most likely be unusable, with the cover installed. Stocks like these are usually designed more for using with optics, not iron sights, anyway.

You could always leave the front cover off, or if there's a way to notch the front rail, to make it see through, either way would work with the iron sights, then.

I'll know more, when I receive my stock, hopefully next week, and tell you for sure!:t
