What kind of suppressor are you getting?

 

I ordered a AB Little Bird. I have gotten to shoot it on my CZ457 but not on the Ruger. I have to go to the FFL's range to use it. Obviously I can't take it home. It is very quiet as well.
It is a bit longer than the Dead Air Mask but narrower. It is the same diameter as the bull barrel of both the Ruger Mark IV and the CZ457 Varmint so it just looks like an extension of the barrel. But I also wanted something I could use on my Remington 552 which I had threaded. the Remington has a under the barrel magazine tube so when reloading the plunger has to be able to slide pass the suppressor. The AB Little Bird was the only one that ( fit the bill. ) pun intended.
The only downside is that it is aluminum so cleaning options are more limited. But the way it is designed it self cleans when you disassemble it.

When I was a kid i shot that Colibri out of a Single Six inside my dad’s auto repair shop. Didn’t make it out of the backside of a 1.5” phone book. It was like a cap gun’s report.

Have you shot CCI Quiet suppressed?
Quiet has got “some” powder/power vs Colibri’s primer only. I enjoy Quiet out of my .22 revolvers

Its currently in the Big, Beautiful Bill, but it hasn't passed both the House and Senate yet.

 

I would get in so much trouble with that or any suppressor.

The whole pistol is ruger or is that a tacsol upper? I found it. Tacsol 👍🏻

 

One of the few times I got to use mine on my CZ left handed bolt the guy next to me commented on how quiet it was. So I let him try a few rounds. Being a left handed bolt he wasn't sure about working the action. So I would reach over his shoulder and work the action for him.
It has a light trigger.

So when I would reach over and work the action he would look up and ask,

" Did it fire?"
Love it when you can hear the bullet hit the paper at 50 yards.

I've been thinking about a suppressor for my IWI TAVOR X95 9mm PCC. But the ones I've been seeing rated for 9mm PCC were $800.oo to $900.oo. I'm just not sure if I want to add another $800.oo to a grand, to a gun I already have $2800.oo (est.) invested in.
I'm still thinking ... we'll see.

 

Suppressors are a racket when it comes to price. I guess they figured any pilgrim willing to pay ATF for permit was a good source to bleed a few hundred more out of. When I was a kid I thought a 22 rifle with suppressor would open up a whole new universe of posted squirrel woods. In and out like the wind with a sack of squirrels. Also would have been handy to poach Bull Frogs. Now too old to get any use out of one.

 

Suppressors are a racket when it comes to price.

No joke. A tube and some k cup baffles. Cheap enough to make, probably all of $10 worth of materials. Monocore would be a bit more, due to all the machining.

 

I use my Dead Air on both Pistols and Rifles. They are very nice Suppressors. Really like it on my Beretta alot. May get another or two if the HPA survives the reconciliation process. Not holding my breath it will.. But we can hope. It is time it gets done. If not this time, I do not see it ever happening..

I already have every tree ranged out to 100 yards from my backyard for my pcp rifle. Ya I’d be going out to 250 / 300 with a can. Maybe then the dove would leave my area and not poop on EVERYTHING

 

I am excited for them to loose the stamp, if it goes through. The SBR aspect is less exciting but looses the goofy brace on ARs too.
I agree there will be a backlog for a long while, I expect a year. They aren’t turning into accessories, still firearms. Anyone wanting to jump into manufacture will still need to become a mfg FFL, from what I understand, if they are not already. That’ll be a bottleneck to new supply.
If I was the last to pay my $200 I’ll take it tho, I got mine through ATF in ~2 weeks, picked up recently.

That is exactly what I knew would happen. It was just too unbelievable that we would get any freedoms back..Just not happening regardless of who is in charge of things. As far as Colibri. If this the low powered stuff at around 700 FPS..That is a waste of money.I shoot SV CCIs in my Dead Air and it is super quiet. No need to go below SV speeds. Just as well shoot your BB Gun instead..LOL

No,She is wrong, it is a Tax..The SCOTUS even confirmed it was at one time. That is why you get a 200.00 Tax Stamp when you purchase a suppressor, MG, SBR, SBS one. The VP has the power to step in and correct it, will he?..I doubt it.

I ended up with exactly double in the suppressor as what the Ruger cost me used at a gun show a few years ago,,
