Neat. I like that central layer running through it. Those laminated layers ought to keep it nice and true.

 

You're right, I'm sure a solid chunk of wood Will be more appealing to a lot of people, but (In my opinion) a laminated stock is gonna be more stable.

 

That is stunning - when you said you were trying something new with #170, I have to admit it took me a couple of looks to appreciate it, now I think the area around the receiver and taper to the parallel fore end look absolutely perfect.
