I'm trying to decide between these tthree 22 cans. I'm wanting a smaller can because I'm getting a Beretta 21A covert as one of the host pistols. I realize the short of cans may not be as quiet as the lights of full size cans.

Which of these three cans of the better choice? Thanks for any help

All of my experience with rimfire cans is with Dead Air Mask and Thunderbeast TD, so I can't help you with practical knowledge. That said, your little list has me thinking about a small can now. Of the three, I am liking the Mustang due to the versatility (option to go from 5.3" to 3.4") and the S/N being on an area that with little chance of being impacted by baffle strike or other issues. That means they can replace the whole thing and not need a new tax stamp as the S/N hasn't changed.

Rugged Oculus is the cousin of the Rugged Mustang. It has stainless baffles and can be configured in a short or long format. There are others that can be configured short or long, such as the Silencerco Switchback, and Q Erector. I am sure there are others you can dig up also. They make your suppressor versatile. I have an Oculus and it has worked well for me, but I never use it in the short version.

You probably have or will have other threaded barrel rimfires you might want to use the full length configuration on. Plus, I always figure if I have to wear hearing protection for standard velocity ammunition, I don't really need a suppressor. I can't personally rationalize buying a suppressor that is loud.

Thanks guys for the replies I'm wanting a smaller can because the host pistols will be Beretta 21A covert and a Walther PPK 22. I'm thinking a shorter suppressor will work better as far as size goes. The silencerco switchback looks promising as well. I like the Rugged mustang too and the fact it can be longer or shorter is a plus too.
