Ruger 31232 fail

NIB 31232 barely made it through one magazine without failing to extract. After four magazines, failed to extract every time, a 1k single shot rifle. Absolutely unacceptable.

Already have Kidd extractor for it; erroneously thought it might actually test fired by the custom shop.

You are correct, that is totally uacceptable. However, I am certain that it was test fired before it was shipped - how many times, who knows. What ammunition are you using? Have you tried multiple magazines, your post isn’t clear about that.

Ran 12 different magazines. Familiar with the platform. Run a different one in steel challenge. This is not an ammunition or magazine problem.

Changed the extractor and it won't manually cycle. Appears the magazine may be too high and the the round impedes extraction and ejection.

The magazine it shipped with looked unfired.
Proves nothing, customers expect new parts. I wasn’t there so I can’t say that they actually test fired it, but not doing so would be outside their process.

As others stated, contact Ruger. Sucks that you will temporarily be without a new premium rifle you just purchased.
