The gun shoots well with high velocity ammo with the Burris Fastfire II installed but the gun does react to the added weight. Blazer, Minimags, Aguila hig vel 40grain and Rem Goldens all shot very well. Some older Federal and American Eagle not so much. Neither did hollow point Aguila for some reason. That said, I love the gun with the red dot and will do a couple things to compensate. I will be drilling to Swiss cheese the Burris mount where it can't be seen, using some moly powder to imbed the rails hopefully and lightning the spring a tad. I hope this will compensate for the added side weight. Right now if I rest the frame forward of the trigger guard on a gun rest, it retards the guns rear momentum sufficiently to give me FTEs so the extra couple oz does make a difference.

Here is the newest addition. Browning Contour Lite, it is off at the smitty getting a trigger job.

I have one of these contours and it's stunningly accurate. I compared it to my Smith 41 and it was better so I sold recycled the smith into other guns with a cash sale.
I have a Burris Fastfire on mine and it has turned into one of my favorite pistols. The Fastfire provides a nice balance not making the gun top heavy.

I just inherited this little beauty,,,

This was my best friends first handgun.

When she turned ten years old this was her birthday present,,,
Her father took her to a gun store and said "pick one",,,
She chose a S&W Model 34 because "It was shiny."

She passed away last week,,,
I told her brother how we went shooting quite often,,,
I said if the handgun had no special meaning to him I would like to buy it.

He just handed it to me.
