Not 100% sure, but I seriously doubt it.
I have never seen the 783 listed as compatible with any 700 stock I’ve looked at purchasing. S/A or L/A.

 

I may be wrong on the numbers, but it was purchased from Walmart and was a Remington 30/06. I was told it is an inexpensive 700 look a lIke, I have a 700 take off stock but don’t have the Walmart rifle. Where I’m going with this is, my stepson has the Walmart rifle. It’s not much to look at, so I thought I will build him a nice stock and get him a better scope, without him knowing about it. This may be a problem since I don’t own a Remington rifle.
