Cross Posted in 22 Ammo also

Saw the buzz here on RFC and of course the usual detractors and and and so I went and got 200 rounds of the 'NEW' Remington Ranch Hand Ammo, in 38gr and 40 gr.from the local Rednec k World store. While I was there I went ahead and picked up another 200 rounds of CCI Blazer (more on that later)

The test bed vehicle

2023 Ruger 10/22 from the “battle of the budget 10/22’s” thread I did.

the Rifle is mostly stock. except for

Feddersen 18.5 threaded sporter contour barrel.

Here are the pictures

soooooo.... seems like the conclusion is not to buy this stuff.
Especially if your gun prefers another brand and shoots it well.
Am I right?

I don't have any, and am not planning to buy it since my 1022
is happy with two other brands.
If someone gave me a brick, I'd do a stock screw tension test
on it, just to see if I could make it fly right.

But that's not likely and we don't expect it, so I'll just keep my
wallet in my pocket, and shoot up my supply of Remington
Golden Bullets that I bought because there was nothing else on
the shelves in 2021.

well, I like to read your reports even if I'm not in the market for anything.
I only own one .22 rifle and one .22 pistol, and I believe I have enough
ammo for them. In addition I have the oddball brands like Winchester and
Remington that I bought in the absence of anything else. Weird to think
of those two as oddball brands, but that's what they are IMHO.

I will shoot those up for fun with my Wrangler,
and stick to my rifle's favorite CCI and Aguila
when something important might need to be done.

my best shooting buddy/neighbor has a Wrangler...nice little revolver

when I was a kid, the local corner store (paper stand/groceries/post office/bait shop..you know, a typical small town business) in my grandparents home town only carried Winchester Wildcats in 50 rnd boxes, and CCI in the amber plastic 100 rnd boxes..they were both great..and very inexpensive back then..
