can anyone tell me who makes this red dot mount for the Mark IV? I’m sure it’s a dovetail mount. Been searching but not finding a specific one.

The only thing I found was from the Wichita Gun Club's site offering the factory Ruger for sale. It only mentions the "shield" footprint (mounting holes) but not the mount itself:
  • Riton 3 Tactix MPRD 2 is an extremely compact and versatile pistol red dot with shake awake, auto brightness, and auto off. With a 3 MOA dot that will ensure ultimate precision and rapid target acquisition. Designed with a Shield footprint.

I just bought a Holosun green dot sight for my Ruger Mark IV Standard. I am going to make my own mount so as to make it as low as possible. I am a retired machinist and I still have my shop so making my own mount is not a big deal. You are going to use a dovetail mount and I was thinking about mounting the sight above the ejection port. But I really don't know which location is best. Why are you choosing the dovetail mount?
Thanks,
Eric

Is mounting the sight at the dovetail better than over the ejection port? I don't know which is better. I am leaning toward over the ejection port but removing the rear sight and using the dovetail for mounting really appeals to me. Does it make much difference where the sight is located?
Thanks,
Eric

That mount comes on a few of newer models from the factory. They are Davidson’s exclusive model #’s 43946, 43947, and 43948. The upper on those pistols does NOT have a rear sight dovetail, or a hole drilled for a front sight. It has holes drilled and tapped in the rear for that mount, which is proprietary to that model upper. Even if you could buy that mount, you would have to drill and tap the upper to mount it.

If you are dead set on that mount, Wirthwein had some of those uppers available for sale. IMO you are better off with either a Lobos mount over the ejection port, or a Maddmacs or Farrow dovetail mount.

>This is the Lobos industries mount. I would definitely go with a mount over the ejection port.<<
I really wanted to go with the Lobo mount but they never seem to have them in stock. Now they're saying "sometime" in August, so I bit the bullet and ordered one from MADDMACS instead. Yeah they're more money, but they have them in stock. (I'm not one for patience)

I want my sight as close to the bore as I can get it. I have three 22 pistols using dovetail mounts and have had no problem at all with any of them. I also have a 9mm using that type mount and so far have had no problem.

When I decided to install a Burris FF 3 on my MK III pistol I had a spare mount for a 1911 that I used by making a new dovetail piece to fit the Ruger's dovetail and saved $45 by not having to buy the ETG mount which has now increased to $50.

I am no help to the OP as I have never seen the mount in his picture.

Just a follow up, ended up getting the Ruger 22/45 lite. Added TK trigger and VQ trigger parts. I took it to the range and she’s was sighted in for CCI Sv perfectly. I have an image below with CCI Mini mags and it shoots a few inches high. I don’t need to touch the elevation to use the SV. I’ll probably keep using SV most of the time since I have so much of it. I was surprised that they sight them before shipping. Here is a target below of the MiniMags at 75 feet. (Shooting a little high).
