Gentlemen and ladies,
I have been using this community as a reference several years, so I thought it was time to join and participate, to the extent my knowledge and experience allows.
My professional experience is in woodworking, some metal work and machinery mechanical repairs.
I am not a gunsmith, but find the internal workings of firearms fascinating. There are so many designs that are a designer's solutions to the same simple problem.
Each time I select some old beat-up relic as my next 'project', I always check to see what this forum has to offer.
Thank you fin advance or your indulgence if I ask a few stupid questions

Hello and welcome to RFC, I am from Illinois. Why don't you pull up a chair and sit for a while. If you have the time stop on by The Watering Hole and chat for a bit.
