I contacted Tony Mele a few weeks ago about getting one of his stocks for a new 10/22 build I'm doing. I wanted the Burgundy/Charcoal or Red/Black combo if possible. He had some Burgundy/Charcoal coming, so I pre-paid my order. I had also sold my 10/22 Takedown and wanted to do another, lesset build for shorter barrel for my suppressor. Well, tony had an all Charcoal barrel to sell as a “blem”. It had an acrylic inlay and was vented. Price was very good, so I sent funds for that one too.
So yesterday they were delivered! To say I'm impressed would be a gross understatement! Both are absolutely stunning! I cannot say enough about Tony and his work.
The Burgundy/Charcoal is getting a T.I Stainless receiver, Power Customs bolt and a Kidd 2-Stage trigger, which I have in hand. I am waiting on a special order Shilen 20” barrel so I can get it ready for the range.
The “blem” (ha ha) stock will get a kidd Single Stage trigger and am patiently waiting for the Azimuth Technologies complete barreled receiver/bolt package to be released. I want to take the leap of faith and give the new kids on the block a shot!
