Hi, new member here!
It looks like this may be the right place for the information I seek. I now have an unused AR-7 INDUSTRIES, LLC AR-7 survival rifle. The original purchase receipt is from December of 1999. The butt stock cap reads -
Survival Arms
Cocoa, Florida
AR-7 EXPLORER
Patents Pending

I would like to add a scope, pistol grip, etc., however there is little available from the original manufacturer. I have read that the parts & accessories from the current manufacturer of the AR-7 (HENRY) do not work well, or not at all with my version. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello and Welcome to RFC, why don't you pull up a chair and sit for a while. If you have the time stop on by The Watering Hole and chat for a bit. The first drink is always on the house. You might want to look where your drink is coming from before you think about the free drink.

You might want to ask your question in a different forum, this one is for introductions. Not as many people will see your question posted here. I would guide you to a better place, but I am not real sure where you should look and I don't want to get you headed to the wrong place. This might be a place to start.

When Henry took over manufacture, they changed the rifles dimensions so few parts interchange with the older guns.

You will likely have better luck with parts from the Armalite and Charter Arms eras of AR-7 production.

As GladesGuy said, these had a very shady reputation for reliability. My own Charter-made gun was terrible. I wouldn't invest much into it as you may be very disappointed in how (or if) it shoots.

But, it's your gun and money. Good luck with whatever you decide. 👍
