I was at the LGS today, when they showed me a 1950s-era $950 "Pre-Mark," which I think means the Mark i (I'm in California, which has a roster limiting handgun variety and jacking up prices on new and used handguns). To me and the sales clerk (whom I trust), it was in great shape, e.g. no rust or excessive wear. I might use it at the range or keep it as a safe queen. This type of .22LR is not in my area of knowledge, so I wanted to check in with you about the price and pros and cons of it. Thanks

Like the others, I think the price is excessive!! BUT, could the pricing be because of the California crazy lays?? Can't ship some firearms into because of stupid laws?? Maybe because it is an old pistol it doesn't qualify for whatever!! Just some thoughts!! Gold plated it wouldn't be wirth the asking price!!
