My Ridiculous Chipmunk

Got some time to throw together my Chipmunk Hunter Pistol in 22 Mag.

Bought this quite a few years back, with the black laminate wood stock.

Shoots fantastic, and have been meaning to try it out to 100 yards with the 2.5-7 burris pistol scope.

Recently put it into an aluminum chassis (made by Keystone). It is threaded in the back for standard AR tubes (in case you put it on a rifle, you can add an AR stock). Currently it has a Spikes Tactical plug in it (with a QD socket) to fill the hole. Debating if I want to throw a folding brace on it or not.

Threw on a Bobro Gen III bipod I had from another build, and tried on a few optic choices, including the Burris 2.5-7, a Trigicon MRO, and a Vortex Razor red dot.

Should be a blast to shoot. Barks pretty good since it's a 10" barrel 22 Magnum, but still pretty dang accurate.

Mostly ridiculous in that I took a $200 pistol and turned it into a $1,000+ set-up... all for a 22 mag single shot range novelty lol.

It totally is a ton of fun, and puts a smile on for sure. Cant wait to try it out and see what it can do.

I've seen a few other people do these up with the chassis and folding braces, looks even more fun than the brace-less set-up shown.

Got it from Keystone on their website. They offer a dovetail one (older model) and they recently started making the Picatinny one for the pistols.

EGW also makes one, but it only attaches via the 2 screws in the receiver. The Keystone one uses those 2 plus the one in the barrel (where the rear sight attaches).

I just traded in my .22 WMR Chipmunk, & my CZ457 in WMR, along with other stuff to barter for a new trap gun. Once I put a RED/Green dot on it, I could hit 3 inch steel at 70 yards. I just hated the way you had to almost point it straight down to load. But a fun gun to shoot. (I was shooting off tri pod as I'm not steady at 74 Years)
