She's not bad I have kept her around for 40 years.

 

Some wives (the minority?) would say ok, whatever. Very few would likely be that supportive and go on a long trip like that. You've got at least 2 keepers now.

I have one like that I added a scope BUT saved the iron sight my Dad bought it in 1967 for $5
I refinished the stock it came out nice
the one you found is very nice I think you my have paid more then $5

Had it out to the range today for some test firing and cut a 1 x 2 in half at about 50 yards.

 

That's a nice one! I recently found a 44US (US property marked) in similar condition at a show after looking for quite a few years for a good one. They're excellent rifles.
