This one was certainly abused. Someone’s attempt to fix it was awful and I admit mine is not a lot better but I did what I could. You can see in the pics that the previous owner hammered the door so hard it widened it. First order of business was bringing it back to the proper width. Since I am a model railroader too I had plenty of brass strip stock and soldering tools. You can see in the photos how I repaired it and I will go the hardware next week and get the spring to add to the door. It was pitted badly but I sanded, steel wooled and applied Oxpho Blue.
