The Mark IV is a great pistol and can fulfill a large number roles in the gun industry. Because of its design however there are some drawbacks with mounting options. When you get your Mark IV the only option you get is going to be a picatinny rail. You can mount red dot's to this, but in my experience these red dots are oversized and can be cheap quality. Our company asked the question, How can we make a product that bridges the gap between what a full sized pistol and the Ruger 22/45. we designed an optic mount that is specific to each individual micro red dot. We ensure a seamless and flush fit with every optics plate. Our inventory has optic plates for Sig, vortex, and Trijicon. We are always expanding our optic plate line up. if you go to our website and cant find an optics plate for your specific red dot, let us know, and we will do everything we can to fulfill your need.

thanks,
Armayne Mfg.

I removed the rail and went with a Lobo low profile mount.

I bought the same one for my 22/45. Vortex Venom on it. I couldnt get the POI higher than 1" below the bullseye. Ran out of clicks on the sight. Ended up making a thin shim to mount under the mount to bring the dot closer to the POI. Elevation dial is now half way in the adjustments and the laser and red dot meet at 50'.

Did you have any issues with it? Just wondering if I got one that was machined off a bit or if theres something machined wrong on the Venom. I do like the mount and the way it looks like it was OEM.
