I would post this in another area, but there isn't one for "Rimfire Rifles" in general.
I'll start with a Marlin 1897/1997 CL.

My first RimFire

Got it in October 1962 for my 13th birthday. It was used and I planned on refinishing the stock before I shot it. We had a house fire in 1/64 and all I could salvage was the stock and barrel. Cleaning out my parent's house I came across them. Through eBay and gun shows I was able to find the parts and got it back together. It took me 40 years to get to shoot this one but it was worth it. It's a Savage 4c.

This is the rifle my dad carried to teach me how to hunt squirrels back in Waycross Georgia in the early 60's. To an 8 year old boy, it felt like trying to hold up a telephone pole, and my dad would let me rest it on his shoulder to make the shots. My mom paid $24 for it at J.C. Penneys, and I am very glad to still have it, I restored it ten years ago, and it shoots! It's a Springfield 187-J, an economy version of the Savage model 6. I added the rear checkering in the style of its higher-end brothers, and it still gets out to the range every now and then.

Savage Model 1912 autoloader that was my dad's and his dad's before him. Grandpa carried it to school in the '20s to shoot game on the way home. Dad cracked the stock when he hit a groundhog hole on the Cushman riding through the pasture on the farm. I shot it a bunch when I was a teen shooting rats under the corn crib. My daughter has shot it a few times, but it need to be single loaded any more. The ejector and extractor are worn, and it has gone full-burp a few times. That's four generations so far. It's a little rough, but I like it that way.

I'll post photos of the 10/22 when I get the scope back on it.

Meanwhile, I'll cheat. This is a .22, but not a rimfire. :)
